Hey! I’m Jim Rubenstein, I live in Columbia, South Carolina with my wife, and son. We moved to Columbia from York, Pennsylvania in 2008. I’ve been in the field of web development for about 10 years and over that period of time I’ve gained a lot of insight on web technologies, and had the opportunity to learn some incredible things. I use this site as an outlet for that knowledge. I often times have ideas about certain facets of web development and I created this site as an outlet to share those with the internet world.
While I do spend a lot of time navigating the tubes and writing a lot of code, I do enjoy a lot of offline activities! Since moving to Columbia, my wife and I have discovered our passion for college football – I don’t know what it is but, here in the south, everyone loves football and when football season gets close, you get a real sense of excitement from everyone around. People start buzzing about who the new prospects are and what the expect their teams to do this year – and my wife and I have really latched on to it, we love it! I also enjoy to mountain bike, which is also a relatively new discovery for me. Of course, I can’t talk about offline activities without talking about how much I enjoy spending time with my family. I get the most enjoyment out of being with them when I am away from distraction (pretty much all electronics) it allows me to focus on simple pleasures, unplug, relax, and have fun.
